Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Interns are therapists who are starting the process of licensure for the State of Texas. Interns have completed their master's level degree in the study of counseling and have at least 300 hours of experience in the field of counseling as part of their study of therapy and therapeutic techniques. LPC Interns have also successfully taken the Texas State Board exam for licensure and are supervised by a Texas State Board licensed supervisor. LPC Interns meet with their supervisor at least once a week while they are in the first 3000 hours of practicing in the field of counseling. Click Here to verify the status of your therapist's license. If you are seeing an LPC Intern their license should also appear.
Cary Scott provides mentoring, training, and supervision to new professionals entering the field of counseling and graduate level students. Graduate practicum students are not registered through the State Board, however, they are closely supervised by their instructors and licensed professionals.
Currently Cary Scott is accepting new LPC Interns for supervision. If you are an intern looking for a supervisor contact Cary with any questions and to set up an interview.
