My professional training began when I completed both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counseling from East Texas A&M University. I have worked extensively in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs, primarily with adolescents and young adults. These settings allowed me to gain valuable experience working with a variety of mental health concerns including:
● Anxiety and Panic Disorders
● Depression and Mood Disorders
● Self-Harm and Suicidal Ideation
● Eating Disorders and Body Image Struggles
● Emotional Dysregulation and Coping Skills Development
Through this work, I have learned that mental health challenges can feel overwhelming and isolating, but with the right support system, growth is always possible. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and compassionate space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. My goal is to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical tools to foster resilience and self-improvement.
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you to examine the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe that by identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns, individuals can develop healthier coping mechanisms and regain a sense of control in their lives. While CBT serves as my primary therapeutic framework, I recognize that every client is unique. Because of this awareness, I provide an integrative and client-centered approach, tailoring my techniques to best fit the needs and goals of each individual. Whether it’s exploring mindfulness strategies, emotion regulation strategies, or addressing core beliefs, my focus is always on creating a personalized plan for you.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m a music lover and enjoy attending concerts whenever possible. I express myself creatively however I can, whether it be a coloring book or designing with my Cricut. I also love spending quality time with friends and family, because my people make me, me. But most of the time, I’m probably snuggling with my dogs. :)
Life is hard, and you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, or major life transitions, I am here to support you. I create a therapeutic relationship where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and build the confidence to face whatever comes your way. I can’t wait to meet you and get started!
